Even while juggling his eight-year tenure on Queer Eye, hosting and executive producing the upcoming National Geographic travel show Best of The World With Antoni Porowski and sharing recipes and cooking tips with his nearly 4 million Instagram followers, Antoni Porowski also manages to maintain his friendship with Taylor Swift.
The food and wine expert recently appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, where he declined to dish on whether or not he got invited to Swift and her fiance Travis Kelce’s wedding—but instead shared his favorite meal that Swift has made for him.
"The best thing she ever cooked for me, you know what? It was an Ottolenghi recipe for meatballs," Porowski said in response to a fan who called into the show.
Yotam Ottolenghi—the chef referenced by Porowski—is known for his vegetable-forward cooking style.
This notion evidently has rubbed off on Porowski, as he went on to say that the meal inspired him to use more fresh herbs when he whips up meatballs at home.
"It was really delicious and she inspired me to start putting more herbs, and doing kind of like green meatballs," he said.
While we can’t confirm which exact dish they enjoyed together, Ottolenghi’s website features several meatball recipes, all of which combine proteins like pork, turkey and chickpeas with fresh veggies, grains and, of course, plenty of herbs.
From these Porowski-approved meatballs to her famous sourdough bread, we’re super excited to be learning more about Swift’s prowess in the kitchen.
We may never know if Porowski RSVP’d to the nuptials, but Andy Cohen provided the caller and the rest of the audience with his own theory: "Because he didn't answer your question, that means he is going."
If reading this has you in the mood for some meatballs, here’s some of our favorite hearty and comforting recipes that are sure to impress everyone at your table.
